Early in his career, Squitieri went to work as a general assignment reporter near Pittsburgh. He work took him into the political area and publishing world. As a Washington-based correspondent he tuned in on stories on the White House, Capitol Hill, the White House and DC society, agency and behind the scenes fabric of life as we know it in Washington. ourse on public speaking under the instruction of award-winning reporter, author, speaker, and professor Tom Squitieri.
Squitieri’s impressive media presence and writing warranted his being elected four times as secretary of the National Press Club, once as vice president and once as treasurer. His reporting took him to the Pentagon, Iraq, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Italy and Turkey. His political eye and reporting included several Capitol stories including political scandals and foreign affairs. In 2011, the group collaborated with the United Nations Foundation to host its inaugural “Women Leading the Future” women’s conference, drawing in hundreds of attendees and speakers from across the country. Then in 2012, Ladies America partnered with the Center for Women in Business of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Microsoft hosted the event.”ool interests and talent to advance each other through connections, mentorship and education. Launched in 2006 in Washington, D.C., the organization has expanded to a network of around 3,000 top-tier professional women in D.C., NYC, North Carolina, Texas, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Virginia Beach, Nashville and San Francisco.
A natural at entrepreneurship, Lindsey launched her own businesses and worked on the Hill for Congressman Howard P. “Buck” McKeon of California as Communications Director & Spokesperson. She is a recurrent face on Washington Magazine covers and a noted mover and shaker helping define the DC landscape in policy issues affecting women and social impact relevant to woman.
