Today, Ladies DC and DC Entrepreneurship Week are hosting a “Women Who Launch” panel discussion in order for female business leaders to share their lessons learned and best practices with others.
Women entrepreneurs have become adept at competing in business in increasingly thoughtful and strategic ways. Some research suggests that women who want to set up businesses are at a disadvantage when it comes to securing funding, while other statistics will tell you that women are less inclined to start fast-growing ventures. However, statistics don’t always reflect the true picture, and the US now houses a thriving female entrepreneurial community. We will discuss strengths and weaknesses of being a woman in business and resources/information available to female entrepreneurs.
