Ladies America Partners With Cooley LLP as Pro Bono Client
Firm to Guide Organization through final stages of 501(c)3 Application Process
Ladies America is pleased to announce that Ryan Naftulin and Derek O. Colla of Cooley LLP have agreed to officially represent the rapidly growing organization as a Pro Bono client and to guide them through the final stages of their 501(c)3 application.

Ladies America target goals:
· 1,000 women engaged in the mentorship program by 2016
· 25,000 women serving as resources to each other in 15 cities by 2020
· 10,000 hours of education in technology, business & advocacy by 2020
In the process, Ladies America will lead the way positioning more women for leadership roles at the helm of large organizations, grow numerous aggregate women’s initiatives, groups and organizations and create a national voice for women on major issues in the U.S.
Ryan Naftulin is the Vice Chair of Cooley’s Business department and is partner-in-charge of the Firm’s Washington, DC, office. Ryan’s practice focuses on the representation of issuers and investors in the formation and financing of emerging technology and life sciences companies, as well as counseling companies in mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, strategic relationships, public offerings and general corporate matters.
This effort is being spearheaded by Derek O. Colla, an associate in Cooley’s Business Department. Derek’s practice focuses on the representation of issuers and investors in the formation and financing of emerging technology and life sciences companies, as well as counseling companies on mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, strategic relationships, public offerings and general corporate matters.
