Ladies America Unveils Mentorship Pilot Program for Young, Professional Women Tonight
Tonight, Ladies America is set to unveil its mentorship pilot program for young, professional women with a soft launch in its flagship city of Washington, D.C.. The program has been underdevelopment for the past year under the guidance of Yanire Braña, Jean Schindler, Juliana Hess & others who have crafted a robust program aimed at helping professional women advance and meet achievable, tangible goals for their life and careers.
Mentorship is a core tenant of Ladies America (www.ladiesamerica.org) and a project of Ladies International Foundation, 501c3 status pending with education in technology, advocacy and business. Today’s soft launch and introduction to the national mentorship program pilot falls on the heels of Ladies America’s annual women’s conference, “Women Leading the Future,” (www.womenleadingthefuture.org) which was held at Microsoft on June 15, 2013.
“Reaching today’s soft launch of Ladies America’s mentorship pilot program has been a true labor of love for our dedicated teams in New York City and Washington, D.C., who have brought to our program years experience and best practices from other such initiatives in Latin America and other urban areas of the United States,” said Lindsey Mask, Founder & Executive Director, Ladies America. “There is a focus on building truly functioning relationship, identifying areas of need, training mentors, monitoring success and offering one-on-one or group mentorship programs. For groups, there will be specific themes, such as negotiation, starting a career in D.C., and entrepreneurship. This is a very exciting time for Ladies America, and we are looking forward to seeing the results that come from this pilot.”
