Ladies America Welcomes Six New High-Profile Advisors
Founder & Chairman of the Conrad Foundation; CEO of The GBS Group; MD-DC leader of Women President’s Organization; Principal at Capture10; Consultant and Advocate for Women and Girls; FORTUNE Top 40 Under 40 Influencer
WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 15, 2013 – Ladies America, a national network of young, professional women today announced that six key influencers have joined the Board of Advisors in a sign of valued support for the great works and impact the group is having across the country. Nancy Conrad, Founder & Chairman of the Conrad Foundation; Robert Golden, CEO of The GBS Group; Betty Hines, President of Betty Hines Business Builder LLC; Lawrence Williams, Principal at Capture10; Marjorie French, a Consultant and Advocate for Women and Girls; and leading Partner at NYC-based Kirkland & Ellis LLP., Binta Brown, are the newest members of tight-knit, strategic Advisory Board.

Nancy Conrad
In 2008, Nancy Conrad founded the Conrad Foundation to energize and engage students in science and technology through unique entrepreneurial opportunities. By enabling young minds to connect education, innovation and entrepreneurship, her foundation helps provide a bold platform for enriching the innovative workforce of the future. The late wife of Pete Conrad, one of our nations true heroes of the space program and the third man to have ever walked on the moon, Ms. Conrad has been a featured speaker at national and international conferences, including at the Legatum Institute at MIT and the Global Diversity Leadership Conference at Harvard University. Robert “Bob” Golden
Bob Golden is the founder of The GBS Group, and GBS Connected, where he currently serves as Chairman and CEO. The GBS Group is a technical services company providing Reliability, Performance, and Longevity improvement services to major railroad, marine, and defense department customers across the US and Canada. GBS extends the life of expensive assets by applying engineering and software development knowledge to solve machinery problems, upgrade control systems, install passenger wi-fi and machine health monitoring systems, and improve overall reliability of systems. Betty Hines
Betty Hines is the President of Betty Hines Business Builder LLC, which is dedicated to helping people build and grow their businesses. Betty has more than 35 years of business experience in the area of business development and executive coaching. Betty is also committed to mentoring emerging female business leaders in her spare time by actively working to grow her Women President’s Organization in Baltimore area as Chapter Chair. Lawrence Williams
In 2012, Lawrence founded Capture10, a business development and strategy firm that helps companies identify, pursue and capture new billion dollar markets within the technology and aerospace industry. The firm provides strategic guidance to clients on how to secure domestic and international government contracts through direct sales, distribution agreements, partnerships, shaping procurements and navigating regulatory processes. Marjorie French
Marjorie French is a Consultant and Advocate for Women and Girls and has been a champion of girls’ and women’s leadership for the last decade. As COO of Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW), an association that develops women leaders, Margie led two long-term Strategic Plans and their implementation that attracted 2,000 young professional women to the organization. From CEW Margie went on to lead Marketing for the Girl Scouts USA, staking a claim for the need for girls’ leadership development for economic growth in the U.S. and abroad. Binta Brown
Binta Niambi Brown is a partner in the corporate practice of the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She has represented corporate clients in connection with over $70.2 billion of merger and acquisition transactions (including the then largest oil & gas merger in US history), public and private debt and equity offerings, and secured debt financings. She was named as one of the 2011 “40 Under 40″ professionals in Crain’s New York Business, has been recognized by that National Organization for Women as a “Woman of Power and Influence”, and in 2012 the World Economic Forum honored her as a Young Global Leader… Read more here.
Andrew Schiff
Andrew Schiff is an entrepreneur and Founder of Zeroto6ixty & KarmaCloud. Andrew has been working with startups for the last 10 years, starting out on the finance side and then shifting gears into strategy, operations and project management as a startup consultant for the last seven years. To date he has helped to launch startups across the US, in Europe, China and Kenya and is currently laying groundwork to help establish a startup incubator in the south of Spain in collaboration with one of Europe’s largest universities.
